(KNSI) – St. Cloud will reopen its wading pools this year after two years according to Mayor Dave Kleis.
St. Cloud has seven wading pools and three splash pads. The pools are at Centennial Park, Haws Park, Hester Park, Pantown Park, Rotary Park, Seaberger Park and Spalt Park.
The Splash pads are at Lake Goerge/Eastman Park, Riverside Park and Westwood Park. The splash pads should open in mid-May weather permitting. The parks and recreation department expects the park to open the splash pads on May 13th and close on September 13th.
The pools were closed in 2020 due to the pandemic and again in 2021 mainly due to a lack of lifeguards.
