(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation wants to hear from the public on future improvements on a stretch of highway between St. Cloud and Clear Lake. MnDOT will hold a pop-up event in St. Cloud and a public meeting in Haven Township on its Highway 10 corridor study.
The study covers the highway section between 15th Avenue SE to Highway 24. The study aims to find future safety and access needs throughout the corridor. MnDOT says it will consider current and future demographics, land use and safety data to support its recommendations.
Transportation officials say they want to hear from the traveling public, area residents and businesses. Both events will have the same information and there will be no formal presentation. People can come and go as they please.
MnDOT says they need the unique perspectives of everyone in the area. The study will look at the best way for people to walk, bike, commute, haul freight or travel through the area to get up north.
The study is scheduled to be finished in 2023.
The pop-up event will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at the Travel Information Center at 2651 US-10, St. Cloud, MN.
The public meeting will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 28. It will be hosted at the Haven Town Hall, 4230 45th Ave. SE, St. Cloud, MN.
