(KNSI) – Stearns County Sheriff Steve Soyka is running for re-election.

In a press release, Soyka says, “Being your Sheriff over these past 4 years has been one of the greatest and most humbling experiences. I hope to continue to serve you in the role of Sheriff for the next 4 years.”

Sheriff Soyka was elected in 2018 after getting 34,771 votes, or nearly 57% of the vote. The St. Stephen man was a member of the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office for 22 years before being elected Sheriff.

Soyka says, “As your sheriff, I have led our agency through some unprecedented times and challenges and so I humbly ask for your support in my re-election as there is still so much more I want to accomplish.”
