Early Bird Registration for Sexual Assault Awareness Walk Due This Week

(KNSI) — Shear Dynamics Salon of Waite Park hosts the fourth annual “A Walk Together – Uniting Against Sex Trafficking” event Saturday, April 30th.

Early bird registration ends this week. If you sign up by April 4th, $30 gets you involved, along with a free t-shirt. The price goes up until the day of the event. Same-day registration is possible.

Participants will stroll along a three-mile course starting at the salon to raise awareness for the work of the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center. All proceeds go to the organization. Last year, the total came to just under $31,000.

When walkers return from the event route, Shear Dynamics will be hosting educational booths about the center, along with live music. You can take part alone or as part of a team. The largest registered group wins a $500 gift card. Signs and other homemade educational tools are encouraged.
