(KNSI) – St. Cloud State women’s basketball coach Lori Fish is in the running for a prestigious national honor.
Fish is up for consideration to be named the United States Marine Corps NCAA Division II Coach of the Year. She has already secured awards as the top skipper in the country’s Central Region from the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
The head of the hardwood Huskies guided her squad to a 24-5 overall record and a first-place finish in the NSIC. The team bowed out of the NCAA Tournament in the regional semifinal, falling to Fort Hays State, 59-55.
