(KNSI) – A St. Cloud woman is accused of causing three different accidents while driving drunk. Police were called to a rear-end crash on County Road 75 and 28th Avenue in Waite Park around 4:17 on Wednesday afternoon. The victim says she pulled into a gas station, but the other driver continued west towards St. Joesph. The victim suffered back pain. The car that hit her had a Minnesota license plate CCD-173.
About an hour and a half later, at 5:48 p.m., police were called to an accident on County Road 75 in St. Joseph after a car with the license plate of CCD-173 ran a red light at County Road 133 and struck a vehicle trying to turn left. That victim reported neck and back pain.
According to the criminal complaint, the car with license plate CCD-173 continued west, crossed the median, and headed the wrong way in the eastbound lane. The driver hit the front of a third vehicle head-on. That driver wasn’t hurt.
Police identified the driver as Lisa Dawn Fujan. The 54-year-old was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Court records show a preliminary breath test registered a blood alcohol reading of .169%, more than twice the legal limit of .08 to drive.
Fujan has been charged with DWI and two counts of Criminal Vehicular Operation Causing Bodily Harm. All three charges are gross misdemeanors. Bond was set at $12,000.
