(KNSI) — A 55-year-old man from Sauk Rapids has died, and an 80-year-old woman was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 23 in Foley.
The Minnesota State Patrol says just before 2:00 Sunday afternoon, Bruce Varner was driving east on Highway 23 at 13th Avenue in Foley when he was hit by a car going west on Highway 23 being driven by a 26-year-old from South Dakota. The crash report says Varner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 80-year-old woman was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 46-year-old woman was also taken to St. Cloud Hospital with unspecified non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver and three people in that car all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
