(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Patrol says overnight snow left behind some slippery roads around central Minnesota.

Monday morning, the National Weather Service forecast office in Chanhassen reported no official snow total for St. Cloud, but several reports show anywhere from 1″ to 3.5″ of snowfall around the area. The Minnesota Department of Transportation reported Highways 10, 15, 24, and 55 were partially to mostly covered with snow around central Minnesota. The Twin Cities roads were also snow-covered, leading to a snarled commute.

Crashes were also reported all over Monday morning. Drivers said Interstate 94 was glare ice around Highway 241. A multi-vehicle crash caused Interstate 35W near Highway 280 near the Mississippi River to close for a time.

The state patrol hasn’t released the official statewide crash totals.
