(KNSI) – A dinosaur is causing traffic snarls in Becker.
Paul Larcom spent three weeks sculpting a 10-foot-tall dinosaur out of snow in the front yard of his home. Since he finished, kids and adults alike have stopped to take their pictures with the monster.
Larcom says while he didn’t do much to the snow to make his sculpture, there is a wood skeleton underneath. He says he’s done a snow sculpture nine or ten times before, but never one this big or complex.
With mild weather in the forecast, Larcom says he doesn’t know how long Becker’s newest tourist attraction will last. “Oh, it’s probably going to get very weak and probably collapse at some point here. But I’m guessing that’s going to be maybe a couple more days left until that happens. But yeah, it’s gonna melt real quick.”
Larcom’s snow sculpture is on Sherburne Avenue in Becker, just a few blocks north of Highway 10.
