(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Police Department identified the person who died in a house fire in St. Cloud Monday morning.

According to a press release, 34-year-old Kaitlyn Anne Hitchcock died “related to injuries sustained from the smoke and fire.” Hitchcock lived at the home on the 100 block of 17th Avenue South.

A 911 call came in at 4:25 a.m. for the fire and when the St. Cloud Police Department and St. Cloud Fire Department arrived, smoke was already showing in the inside of the house. Officers helped one person who was in a wheelchair get down from the second floor and out of the home. Another person was also helped out. Residents said there was possibly another person on the second floor. Officers were turned away by heavy smoke, and firefighters immediately went in and found Hitchcock’s body and brought her out.

No one else was hurt.

At this time, the fire is not considered suspicious in nature and is believed to be accidental. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
