(KNSI) — The City of St. Cloud says the Lake George warming shelter is closed Thursday due to extreme cold.
According to a press release from the city, the warning shelter will reopen Friday at 4:00 p.m. It will also be open for the weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A wind chill advisory was in effect until noon Thursday for temps below zero and gusty winds. The wind will die down Thursday afternoon, but another wind chill advisory goes into effect from 6:00 p.m. Thursday until 8:00 a.m. Friday morning.
