Litchfield Woman Seriously Hurt in Wednesday Night Crash

(KNSI) — A 32-year-old Litchfield woman was seriously hurt in a crash Wednesday night in rural Meeker County.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, multiple drivers called 911 just before 10:00 after seeing a vehicle go off the road and hit a tree. A press release says Joanna Mackereth was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, which crashed at Meeker County Road 19 and 737th Avenue in North Kingston Township.

Mackareth was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. The press release says deputies determined that alcohol was a factor, and the investigation is ongoing.
