Six-Year-Old Struck by SUV and Killed Near Onamia

(KNSI) – A six-year-old girl is dead after being hit by an SUV Thursday night near Onamia.

The Minnesota State Patrol was called to the accident on Highway 169 near Twilight Road just before 11:00 p.m. Thursday.

According to the incident report, six-year-old Unique Sincere Beaulieu of Onamia was walking on the highway in the path of the SUV and was struck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 48-year-old driver from Garrison, MN is cooperating with authorities and was not impaired at the time of the accident. The Minnesota State Patrol and the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate.
