(KNSI) – The CentraCare Foundation presented the 47th annual Holly Ball on Dec. 4 virtually, with more than 1000 guests participating online.

Holly Ball: A Celebration of Music event raised $550,000, which included a Fund-A-Need segment that raised more than $52,000 and silent auction that raised more than $30,000! The event’s program was broadcast live from the River’s Edge Convention Center and included emcee Willow Sweeney Flaherty with entertainment by musicians Deuces Wild! Dueling Pianos, Michael Shynes, David Gerald Sutton and Kidd Vegas. It also featured special performances by dancers from Ms. Melinda’s Dance Studio and Marc Sanderson of Wilke Sanderson.

Many volunteers contributed to making this event a success, including chair Jodi Erkens and Vice Chair Patty Gaetz. Funds raised will benefit the CentraCare Hospice, Coborn Cancer Center and the Central Minnesota Child Advocacy Center. While COVID-19 is prevalent in our communities, these needs still exist – the funds raised for Holly Ball directly impact patients and families during their cancer and hospice journeys, and for those needing the services of the child advocacy center.

Holly Ball 2021 was presented in a virtual format and free to the public – this included the program, fund-a-need, silent auction and entertainment. Enhancements to the virtual event included sparkle bags by J.F. Kruse and Holly Brew by Pantown Brewing.

Save the date for the 48th annual Holly Ball on Dec. 3, 2022!
