(KNSI) – The price of gas could drop to about three dollars a gallon nationally in January.
Gas is already below three dollars in most of Central Minnesota. According to GasBuddy.com, fuel in St. Cloud is between $2.94 and 2.99 a gallon.
As for next year’s forecast, the U.S. Energy Information Administration says the average gas price is expected to be two-88 a gallon.
The price of gas was three-42 a gallon one month ago. Triple-A says it has now fallen to three-34. The Northeast and Western U.S. are paying the most for gas. The South and most of the Midwest are enjoying cheaper prices.
