(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Regional Airport is getting more than $1,000,000 in federal COVID relief funds.
The St. Cloud City Council will approve accepting $1,107,282 from the American Rescue Plan Act during Monday’s meeting. The money is being distributed by the Federal Aviation Administration and was approved by Congress in 2021.
An airport can use the funds for operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, combating the spread of pathogens at the airport, and debt service payments.
St. Cloud says it will use the money for the airport’s operating budget.
