(KNSI) — One of central Minnesota’s long-standing traditions is back.
The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA’s CentraCare Wishbone 5K run and two mile walk is set for Thanksgiving morning. The El-Jay Plumbing Little Turkey 1K begins at 8:00 a.m., and the CentraCare Wishbone 5K and two mile event starts at 8:15.
Organizers say racers will be set off in five waves to avoid congestion. The first wave will be the fastest paced runners. Waves will be called to the starting line one at a time.
Much like the 2020 event, the course will be open all day if runners and walkers don’t want to participate with a large group. That also means participants can do it before or after their big feast.
Masks are not required during the race but should be worn around the start/finish line and inside the YMCA.
