(KNSI) – Representative Dan Wolgamott kicked off his re-election campaign on Saturday, seeking a third term in office. The lawmaker held a special virtual event with Senator Amy Klobuchar and dozens of supporters in St. Cloud.
“It’s an honor to represent our community at the State Capitol, and I’m excited to run for re-election so I can continue getting things done for the people of St. Cloud,” said Rep. Wolgamott. “I’m proud of all that I’ve been able to accomplish in divided government, and I’m eager to continue working hard to pass legislation that will improve the lives of the people I represent.”
Wolgamott was elected as Assistant Majority Leader in the House in 2020. Wolgamott was first elected in 2018 to represent District 14B after long-time Republican Representative Jim Knoblach stopped campaigning after allegations of inappropriate conduct were made by a family member. Wolgamott won re-election two years later after bearing St. Cloud City Councilmember Paul Brandmire.
Wolgamott represents St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids.
