(KNSI) — Today is Veteran’s Day. All city, county, state, and federal offices are closed in observance of the special day. Most libraries are closed. The City of St. Cloud compost site is closed, but garbage and recycling will be picked up as per usual. There is free parking downtown St. Cloud, and there is no mail, but package delivery services such as UPS and FedEx will be operating.
There are several goodies, freebies, special discounts, and treats for veterans today. These are good at participating locations only. Certain restrictions may apply.
Stearns History Museum – Veterans can get free admission today.
Olive Garden – Veterans and active duty military a free entree from a select menu.
Buffalo Wild Wings – veterans and active duty service members a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries. This deal is for dine-in or takeout, and proof of service is required. The deal is limited to one per person.
Texas Roadhouse – Dinner vouchers will be handed out in the restaurant parking lots from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
IHOP – Veterans can choose to get free Red, White and Blue Pancakes or a Pancake Combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The deal is for dine-in only, and a military ID or proof of service is required.
Starbucks – Veterans, active duty service members, and military spouses can get one free 12 ounce hot brewed coffee at participating locations. It’s good for both cafe and drive-thru. Starbucks is also donating 25 cents from every cup of hot brewed coffee sold to military-related non-profit organizations.
Caribou Coffee – All veterans and active duty military members and their spouses get a free small cup of hot brewed coffee. Just ask for the deal when ordering.
Casey’s General Store – Veterans and active duty military get a free cup of coffee.
Scooter’s Coffee – Veterans can get one gree hot, iced or blended coffee drink.
Applebee’s – Veterans, active duty military, Reserves, and National Guard members can get a free meal from a special menu and a $5 bounce back card to use again. Dine-in only.
Wendy’s – Free breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. for veterans and active duty military. Good for dine-in or drive-thru.
