(KNSI) – Two men have been charged after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint and pistol-whipping him in St. Cloud.
On Thursday, police responded to Sixth Ave South and 14th Street South St. Cloud for an armed robbery in progress. Police found the victim, and he had blood flowing from his mouth and said he was assaulted. The victim says he came to the area to buy a used car and had brought $3,400. The victim later admitted he was there to buy drugs.
According to the criminal complaint, the money fell out of the victim’s coat and as he put the money back into his jacket, Antonio Carl Harris Jr. (Left) came up to him and demanded the money. Investigators say Harris hit the victim with a handgun. A second man, identified as Tygir Delon Winfield (Right), also assaulted him and was also carrying a gun.
Police say the 32-year-old Harris reached into the victim’s pocket, took the money, and fled to a GMC Yukon. The victim took a picture of the Yukon’s license plate. Investigators say 24-year-old Winfield joined Harris in the Yukon and they left. Police located the Yukon at its registered address and held the suspects.
Police found $2100 in $100 bills in the Yukon next to Harris’s ID and $600 in $100 bills in Winfield’s waistband.
Both men have been charged with aiding and abetting aggravated robbery in the first degree.
