(KNSI) — St. Cloud area medical provider CentraCare Health is ready to give the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna COVID-19 single shot boosters.
CentraCare says patients should get a booster if they received the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two months ago and are 18 years of age and older regardless of underlying health conditions. Anyone who received the two-shot Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine at least six months ago are 65 or older, or 18-64 years of age at high risk of severe COVID-19, or 18-64 years of age with frequent exposure to COVID-19 due to working or living conditions, can get a booster shot.
The Pfizer-BioNTech booster is also available for patients to schedule. The FDA has also authorized getting a different vaccine than your original vaccination as a booster.
Patients eligible for Johnson & Johnson and Moderna booster shots can schedule an appointment at select locations through CentraCare Connect at 320-200-3200 and CentraCare.com. At CentraCare South Point, 3001 Clearwater Road, St Cloud, walk-in appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
