(KNSI) – The St. Cloud VA Health Care system is offering flu shots with no appointment on select days over the next two weeks. The flu vaccine clinics are being held at the VA in building 96, with the next one on Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. . St. Cloud VA Public Affairs Officer Barry Venable says the seasonal flu is coming.
“You know the flu visits us every year. Unfortunately influenza and getting protected is terribly important each and every year. More so when you have another viral threat out there.”
Venable says getting a flu vaccine is one of the best ways to stay healthy, with COVID-19 still making people sick. The VA held a drive-through flu shot clinic last week.
“Across Central Minnesota we’ve given over 2,500 flu vaccine doses. And certainly veterans can always get a flu shot in conjunction with a scheduled VA appointment this fall.”
If you can’t make it to Thursday’s clinic, there’s another walk-in clinic on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The flu shot clinics resume next Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. at the St. Cloud VA.
