(KNSI) – Two people were taken by helicopter to St. Cloud Hospital after a crash near Hackensack. The accident was reported around 4:30 on Sunday afternoon on County Road 5 in Birch Township.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe left the roadway and hit a group of trees. A 61-year-old man driving the Tahoe and a 61-year-old woman with him were pinned inside.
The Hackensack residents were extracted from the vehicle and emergency medical treatment was started. The victims were taken by helicopter to St. Cloud with serious injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
The names of the victims and their current conditions weren’t released.
