(KNSI) — The Paramount Center for the Arts says its annual Autumn Moon fundraiser set for Friday has been postponed.

In an announcement on their website, officials say in the “ongoing efforts to keep the health and safety of staff, volunteers, artists, and patrons our number one priority, we have made the decision to postpone the annual dinner and fundraising event, Autumn Moon: Century Celebration.”

They felt it was the best decision because of the increase in COVID-19 cases and the challenges specific to the event. Plans are underway for an event to be held in the spring of next year. It is not clear if the spring event will star The New Standards jazz trio as the fall fundraiser would have.

The 2020 fundraiser was held virtually due to the pandemic.

2021 marks Paramount’s 100th year in operation.
