(KNSI) – Drivers will need to navigate a few more road closings and lane changes in St. Cloud as summer ends and with it, the bulk of road construction season.

The St. Cloud public works department says starting Monday, 9th Avenue South will be closed to through traffic between 17th and 18th Street South due to road work. The closure is expected to last until Friday, weather permitting.

Last week, the 33rd Street South corridor opened to traffic. City officials say westbound traffic on 33rd Street South between Heritage Drive and Walden Way will be reduced to one lane through Friday, weather permitting.

The 33rd Ave South project and the 9th Avenue South project are two of 13 current road construction projects that have resulted in the closing of roads.
