(KNSI) – A 33-year-old Kimball man was arrested after allegedly fleeing police with drugs in his possession.
According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, on August 28th, a deputy spotted a driver, who was wanted on several warrants out of Stearns County, on Highway 27 who was speeding. They say that driver, 33-year-old Samuel Christ, passed the deputy and would not stop when an officer tried to pull them over. Police say he sped up and was allegedly going over 100 miles an hour. Officers attempted a pursuit intervention technique or PIT maneuver to get Christ to stop, but he continued until they say he lost control of his vehicle, crashing into a ditch along Highway 10.
Police say Christ then fled on foot, but an officer was able to catch up with him. They say Christ had a small amount of methamphetamine on him, and more meth was found in the car.
Christ was charged with drug possession and two counts of fleeing police.
