One Injured After Car Crashes Into Garage Early Sunday Near St. Cloud

(KNSI) – A St. Cloud man was taken to the hospital after he crashed into a garage early Saturday morning.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says they received the call about the crash just before 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Deputies responded to the scene in the 32000 block of County Road 1 just north of St. Cloud in LeSauk Township. There, authorities say they found that 33-year-old Joshua Thompson of St. Cloud had been driving an Acura MDX south on County Road 1 when the vehicle left the road, crashing into the door of a detached garage. The impact knocked down the garage’s south cinderblock wall.

The sheriff’s office says Thompson suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The crash is still under investigation. A damage cost estimate for the garage was not disclosed by SCSO.
