(KNSI) – COVID-19 vaccinations are now required for some College of St. Scholastica students in Duluth and St. Cloud.
In St. Scholastica’s SaintsRiseUp Safe Return plan, the school says the COVID-19 vaccination has been added to the list of students’ required immunizations if they are attending in-person classes and co-curricular activities.
The college says students should share their proof of vaccination by October 22nd, and students who want to be exempt from the requirement will need to submit an exemption form and will be asked to self-report weekly COVID testing.
The vaccination requirement also doesn’t apply to “those students participating solely in programs located at community college sites within the Minnesota State Colleges and University system (these students will comply with Minnesota State site requirements),” according to the college. Those relevant locations are in Austin, Brainerd, Cloquet, Grand Rapids and Inver Grove Heights.
The requirement also doesn’t apply to St. Scholastica students who are taking all their classes online.
Right now, masks are required on St. Scholastica’s Duluth, Health Science Center and St. Cloud campuses.
