(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University is teaming up with the Minnesota Department of Health to bring free COVID vaccinations and testing to campus this week.

According to an email sent to students, the health department will have 500 doses of Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines for students, staff, and faculty not yet vaccinated. The testing clinics are Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Atwood Memorial Center. The SCSU Medical Clinic will be giving Moderna vaccinations on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings starting Tuesday.

Anyone getting vaccinated between now and Sunday will get a $100 gift card. Governor Tim Walz extended the incentive program. To claim your gift card, click here.

The SCSU Medical Clinic will be offering free, walk-in COVID-19 testing for students on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Husky Den in Garvey Commons. On August 23rd-27th, the test will be from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the SCSU Medical Clinic, Eastman Hall, Rooms 115 & 116.

Faculty and staff can get free testing at the MDH testing site at River’s Edge Convention Center from Monday to Thursday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. There is also the option to order a free test at home through the state or your healthcare provider.
