(KNSI) – Fans can watch a local Olympian go for the gold this week in Tokyo.

Alise Willoughby is set to compete in women’s BMX racing quarterfinals on Wednesday night at 8:00. The BMX semi-finals are Thursday night at 8:00.

Fans can watch either via NBC or the Olympic Channel.

Willoughby is a St. Cloud native and 2009 graduate of St. Cloud Tech High School. She was Alise Post back then. She married fellow BMX racer Sam Willoughby, in 2017. Nicknamed “The Beast,” she began racing at the age of six after her brother, who raced, suggested she try it. She turned pro ten years later.

Willoughby is a three time Olympian, competing in London 2012, Rio in 2016, where she won silver, and now Tokyo in 2021.
