(KNSI) – Morrison County authorities are continuing to investigate after a suspect allegedly broke into a Little Falls Township home early Monday morning, stealing two handguns and assaulting a person in the home.
Just after midnight Monday, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a report of a burglary in progress at a home off Gordon Circle two miles south of Little Falls.
Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, who had left the home after being assaulted by the suspect. The victim said the suspect was likely still inside and could have firearms. A SWAT team entered but found that the home was empty. The sheriff’s office says the victim was not able to give a good description of the person who broke into the home.
Two handguns were taken from the home: a Beretta 9mm and a Glock 43 with a red dot sight.
The sheriff’s office says if anyone has information about this burglary to call 320-632-9233.
