(KNSI) – A St. Cloud man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of possessing a machine gun.
27-year-old Michael Paul Dahlager was arrested earlier this year after he allegedly told a confidential informant that he was preparing to “defend” a rally at the Minnesota State Capitol on January 17th. That plan was called off after group members suspected an informant. Dahlager allegedly also showed the informant an AR-15 style rifle and two drop-in auto sears that convert semi-automatic weapons into automatic ones. Federal law treats auto sears as machine guns.
Dahlager, a self-described member of the armed anti-government Boogaloo Bois organization, pleaded guilty to the weapons charge on Wednesday. He remains in federal custody as he awaits sentencing.
