(KNSI) – The Central Minnesota Community Foundation has selected its next executive director.

Greta Stark-Kraker has been with the foundation for almost 20 years, starting out as an administrative assistant and climbing up to be the director of donor relations before stepping into the executive director role.

“As I take on this new position, my goal is to help CMCF staff, board members and volunteers continue to provide a concierge level of engagement and commitment with our donors, nonprofit partners and the community as a whole,” Stark-Kraker said. “It’s CMCF’s mission to make sure we are engaging people, building our communities and connecting resources for our community now and for years to come. We are truly better together.”

The CMCF says Stark-Kraker was instrumental in establishing the foundation’s Women’s Fund and worked as a point of contact for Women’s Fund volunteers. She also worked with the community funds for the ROCORI, Paynesville and Foley areas.

“Greta is a natural fit for the role,” said Janet Grones, chair of the CMCF Board of Directors. “Her ability to adapt and be a positive force within the Foundation is an essential quality for our new leader. Her enthusiasm and belief in the power of philanthropy will guide us as the Foundation continues to grow and meet the needs of our community.”

The leadership change comes as the foundation’s outgoing executive director, Caryl Turnow, retires. Turnow’s last day in the position is Wednesday.
