(KNSI) – Just like most other social or group activities, National Night Out is back after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
National Night Out’s annual community-building initiative promotes partnerships between neighbors, along with neighborhoods and the police who patrol them.
This year’s National Night Out is set for August 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in various locations around St. Cloud. National Night Out encourages neighbors to get outside and have a block party, ice cream social, or cookout.
Officers and first responders will be making visits to registered parties around the city. There will be educational opportunities and youth activities like seeing special equipment used by firefighters and police officers.
You can register your party with the city by clicking here.
KNSI News will be teaming up with the St. Cloud Community Outpost, also known as the COP House on National Night Out.
According to the SCPD, there were 60 National Night Out Events in 2019. National Night Out was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
