(KNSI) – After leading St. Cloud Technical and Community College to the College World Series in 2021, the Cyclones Head Coach is leaving.
Jason Fischer coached SCTCC for ten years.
Last season, Fischer led the Cyclones to their fourth Region XIII tournament championship and a fifth-place finish at the College World Series.
During his tenure, the Cyclones had a 295-85 and appeared in the World Series four times.
He will take over as Alexandria Technical & Community College’s first baseball coach. The team will start competing in the spring of 2023.
Baseball is the latest sport added to the Alexandria College Legends growing portfolio, including Clay Target League, eSports, Golf, and Competitive Fishing. Legends Volleyball and Soccer also are on the horizon.
Alexandria will compete in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference(MCAC).
