(KNSI) – Three people were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after getting stuck in Middle Fork Crow River in Kandiyohi County.
First responders went to the scene just east of Lake Calhoun in Irving Township around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office says two adults and one teenager were trying to float down the river in tubes when they got stranded in some weeds on the river. The sheriff’s office says two of those people had medical episodes when they tried to free themselves.
The Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, New London Fire Department and New London Ambulance Service freed the group and took them to Rice Hospital.
