(KNSI) – Sauk Rapids has lifted its city-wide watering ban and is returning to its odd/even lawn sprinkling schedule.
The city says citations will be issued to property owners who don’t comply with the odd/even watering ordinance, which says even-numbered addresses can water their lawns on even-numbered dates, and vice versa for odd-numbered addresses.
Sauk Rapids’ splash pad, which was closed during the watering ban, is set to reopen Friday, but the city’s wading pool will still be closed.
Both Sartell and Sauk Rapids issued watering bans last week in response to high water demands as the region faces abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions. Sartell lifted its watering ban Monday.
