(KNSI) – Low water levels have prompted Sartell to issue a temporary watering ban, effective immediately.
According to a press release from the city, the ban is due to drought conditions, leading to Sartell having extremely low water levels.
To avoid a ticket, residents and businesses cannot irrigate public or private properties – including city parks.
Sartell’s splash pad will be closed until further notice. Celebration Pool is not affected.
Public Works Utility crews are monitoring water levels constantly.
Sartell will not issue citations for those who use non-city sources for irrigation but encourage cooperation with the ban if possible.
The ban will remain in effect until further notice.
