(KNSI) – Later this month, around 100 police K-9s and their handlers will travel to St. Cloud to take part in the United States Police Canine Association’s Region 12 K-9 Trials.
The St. Cloud Police Department says an opening ceremony will take place on June 13th at Tech High School. The competitive events will be held on June 14th and 15th. Those trials — which are meant to test and recertify K-9 dogs’ skills in obedience, suspect searches, agility and more — will be held at Athlos Academy, Tech High School and Clark Field.
USPCA’s Region 12 encompasses Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba, Canada.
SCPD says the events are free and open to the public to watch.
