(KNSI) – Law enforcement is calling the death of a St. Cloud woman found in an apartment a homicide.
Police were called to the 1400-block of 12th Avenue North around 9:20 on Wednesday for a woman found deceased in an apartment unit.
On Thursday, the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 28-year-old Janesa Lashay Harris.
Investigators say the preliminary cause of death was a gunshot wound.
At this time, it is unknown whether there are any connections between this homicide and the suspicious death reported Thursday morning in the 4300 Block of Cooper Avenue South.
Investigators will continue to explore those possibilities as both investigations develop.
Both cases are active and ongoing.
