(KNSI) – The body of the woman found dead inside a St. Cloud apartment Wednesday morning has been taken to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identification.
St. Cloud police were called to the apartment complex on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North at about 9:20 by someone saying they were the property manager and found the body inside one of the units. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
While the scene has not been classified as a crime, the death was labeled suspicious by police, and the crime scene team was called in, but police say that is standard procedure when there is a death in a home, regardless of the cause or manner.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was called in to assist in the investigation Wednesday morning.
