(KNSI) – St. Cloud’s Fourth of July Fireworks display is about a month away, and organizers are asking for help with the show in 2021.

St. Cloud Fireworks Commissioner Tom Richardson was a guest of KNSI’s Bob Hughes and said volunteers are the backbone of the event.

“We’re a 501-C3, we rely on volunteers. If folks want to help out, there’s some opportunity to help do some of the heavy lifting, that needs to get done in those two, three days ahead of time.”

And if you can’t volunteer, you can still help support the fireworks show just by shopping at a St. Cloud based grocery store chain.

“If you go into a Coborn’s between now anJuly 4, there’s an opportunity to round up. We really are grateful for Coborn’s, our friends. we do rely on contributions and donations from area businesses and individuals and organizations. Every every dollar goes up into the sky.”

The St. Cloud Fireworks show is at 10 p.m. on July 4th.

This year’s show will return to normal with spectators allowed back in Hester and Wilson Park.

2021 marks the 75th anniversary of the St. Cloud fireworks show.
