(KNSI) – Two women from Waite Park are under arrest after a stabbing incident on Memorial Day.
According to police, just after 9:30 Monday night, they were called to Bel Clare Estates for an assault complaint. Officers from Waite Park, St. Joseph, and Cold Spring arrived on scene and found the victim, who they say had been stabbed multiple times in the arm with a pair of scissors. That person was treated at the scene.
A 46-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman were taken into custody, where they are both awaiting charges of second-degree assault. One of the women was also wanted for outstanding warrants from the Department of Corrections.
KNSI does not typically name suspects until they have been formally charged.
