St. Cloud Police Searching for Missing Dementia Patient

(KNSI) – St. Cloud police are asking for help finding an 82-year-old man reported missing Saturday evening.

Officers say John Norby left his home in the 4000 block of 4th Street South on a bicycle around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Family reported him missing at 7:00 p.m.

Norby is white, 5’6″, 130 pounds, balding with white hair on the sides. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a gray sweatshirt, jeans and brown shoes. He did not have a phone with him when he left.

Police say Norby has advanced dementia that puts him at risk. He frequently visits the Menards, Quarry Park and Crossroads Mall areas, but family says he may wander until he finds a familiar spot or someone stops to help him.

Anyone who sees Norby is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200.
