(KNSI) – When we think of buying school supplies, we might picture a parent and a child with a list. Often teachers are in line, too, providing supplies, materials and resources to make a big difference for their students. Here’s your chance to amplify those teachers’ efforts with the Adopt-A-Classroom project.

Each year, our community steps up to help District 742 educators a $250 tax-deductible donation. Since the program started in 2011, the community has contributed over $408,000 to 1,633 classrooms. The effort is part of LEAF 742, the education foundation for District 742, whose mission is to raise funds through donations and grants to increase student access to vital opportunities in academics, activities, arts, and athletics.

You can Adopt-A-Classroom through September 21. Learn more here.
