SCSU Named To Transfer Honor Roll For Seventh Straight Year

(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University has again been recognized for its work with community college transfer students.

The school has been named to Phi Theta Kappa’s Transfer Honor Roll for the seventh consecutive year. The honor roll measures how well institutions support transfer students from admission through graduation, weighing criteria that include credit mobility, financial support and campus engagement.

Associate Director of Transfer Admissions Jacob Kolb says the university’s approach has been deliberate.

“We have intentionally designed policies and created a campus culture that helps transfer students thrive after they arrive,” said Kolb. “Being honored by Phi Theta Kappa every year since 2020 shows our work is making a direct impact on student success.”

Transfer students make up about 43% of total enrollment at St. Cloud State. More than 2,600 students have transferred to the university over the past three years, an average increase of roughly 3% per year.

St. Cloud State is one of two Minnesota State institutions named to the 2026 honor roll, joined by Metro State University in St. Paul. It is also one of three public universities in Minnesota and one of 275 colleges and universities nationwide to earn the recognition this year.
