(KNSI) — Cities and school districts that forgo Minnesota’s primary election are now accepting candidate filings for the November ballot.
Communities are looking for residents to fill mayor, city council and other local offices.
In Stearns County, that includes Albany, Avon, Belgrade, Brooten, Cold Spring, Eden Valley, Elrosa, Freeport, Greenwald, Holdingford, Kimball, Lake Henry, Melrose, Meire Grove, New Munich, Paynesville, Richmond, Rockville, Roscoe, Sauk Centre, St. Anthony, St. Augusta, St. Martin, St. Rosa, St. Stephen, Spring Hill and St. Joseph.
In Benton County, that includes Foley and Rice.
In Sherburne County, that includes Baldwin, Becker, Big Lake, Clear Lake and Clearwater.
Filing ends at the local government office at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28th. Contact your local government.
