(KNSI) – St. Cloud’s 4th of July celebration returns to Wilson Park on Saturday with a full day of vendors, food trucks, live music and a fireworks display over the Mississippi River as part of the community’s America’s 250th celebration.
The park grounds open at 3:00 p.m., with a vendor show and fair running until 6:00 p.m. Kids’ activities, bounce houses and fireworks food trucks will be set up throughout the park, along with the Rock On Trucks display and a truck memorial. A military fly-over is planned sometime during the day.
The VIP area at the Pavilion opens at 5:00 p.m. and runs until 9:00 p.m.
Live music begins at 6:00 p.m. when DiamondBack takes the main stage, playing until 10:00 p.m. The Municipal Band will also perform on the back side of the pavilion from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
A 21-gun salute ceremony will lead into the fireworks show, scheduled to launch at 10:00 p.m.
Free shuttle service will run to and from the celebration courtesy of Trobec’s Bus Service and Great River Regional Library. Buses will pick up at the St. Cloud Library, located at 1300 West St. Germain Street, and drop off at the Wilson Park gate. Shuttle service runs from 6:00 p.m. until the end of the fireworks show.
Organizers say the fireworks show has lit up the St. Cloud sky above the Mississippi River for more than 70 years.
