(KNSI) – Sartell’s biggest summer celebration is back this weekend, with a full day of activities planned for Saturday.
The day kicks off with the annual SummerFest parade at 10:00 a.m. along Riverside Avenue, running from 7th Street North to 1st Street North. Organizers encourage attendees to bring a chair, find a viewing spot, and take in the longtime community tradition.
The rest of the celebration centers on the Sartell Community Center beginning at 4:00 p.m.
The Summer Dash Kids 1K steps off at 4:00 p.m. sharp, with a course that loops around Lake Francis. Registration is $5 per child and opens at 3:00 p.m. the day of the event, with no pre-registration. The first 100 participants will receive a T-shirt prize while supplies last.
Live music runs from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the beer garden. Trace Elements opens the lineup from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by Kat Blue from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. and Radio Nation closing the night from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
The Food Truck Park will be open until 9:30 p.m., featuring nine vendors. Younger guests can head to the Kids Zone, open from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., featuring bounce houses, a playground, face painting, and balloon animals.
