(KNSI) – Families in the Kimball area will have a chance to meet the first responders who serve their community at a free event later this month.
Public Safety in the Park runs Monday, June 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Willow Creek Park in Kimball. The evening is built around giving residents a chance to talk with local law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency medical crews in a relaxed setting, rather than during an emergency.
The agencies scheduled to take part include the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Kimball Fire Department, LifeLink, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Watkins Ambulance and the Stearns County Mounted Patrol. That lineup means visitors can expect to see everything from squad cars and fire apparatus to the sheriff’s patrol horses up close.
Free popcorn and drinks will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
